Gobi Paratha

Are you looking for a healthier option for today’s dinner? You are in luck that I just released this recipe on cauliflower paratha (cauliflower stuffed flatbread). If you are vegan this is an awesome dinner for you to consider.

This delicious gobi paratha (cauli paratha) looks to be very difficult to make when you watch someone else making it. However, I am teaching you the simplest way to make cauliflower paratha in this video. These parathas are enjoyed warm, with butter. Cauliflower stuffing in this recipe is made in such an easy way with other healthier spices to make the best parathas that you have tried. Btw, if you know how to make roti, parathas are a piece of cake. I am sure you will not only enjoy making these parathas but also enjoy serving them for your dinner today.

Paratha Ingredients:

10 oz cauliflower

1/2 small onion

1 oz carrot

1/3 cup frozen green peas

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

1/3 cup cilantro

1.5 cup flour (Maida)

1/2 cup water

Salt to taste

Olive oil for spread

Spices Used:

1 tsp cumin powder

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1.5 tbsp olive oil

1 green chili

Salt to taste

Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare Cauliflower Stuffing
  1. Add oil to a pan, followed by chopped onion, and fry for 1 min. Add chopped chili, turmeric powder, cauliflower and, and fry for 2-3 mins covered. Add salt to taste. Make sure the heat is set to medium.
  2. Add carrot and fry for another 4-5 mins covered.
  3. Add garlic ginger paste, cumin powder, and cayenne pepper. After adding frozen green peas fry for 1-2 mins more.
  4. Turn off the heat and smash the stuffing to make it a fine stuffing
  5. Transfer into a bowl and set it aside for it to cool down.
Step 2: Prepare Dough and Roti for Paratha
  1. Add the above-mentioned flour to a dough mixer. I used the #1 settings in the mixer. Follow the manufacturer manual of your mixer. Mix it well.
  2. Knead and let it sit for 15-20 mins
  3. After 15-20 mins, divide the dough into even portions.
  4. Take one portion and make a small flatbread (roti), like a patty to start with. Use oil to avoid stickiness. Add earlier prepared cauliflower stuffing and wrap it close and roll to make a bigger round flatbread (roti).
Step 3: Prepare Paratha
  1. Heat a roti pan and spread some oil.
  2. Cook the prepared flatbread (roti) for 2-3 mins on each side.
Step 3: Serve Warm and Enjoy!
