Easy and Moist Banana Bread Recipe | Not Your Average Banana Bread

I absolutely love banana bread with crunchy walnut and sweet tutti-frutti (candied fruits) on each bite and am sure you will fall in love with this easy yet unique recipe. This banana bread recipe teaches you how to make it easy while making it moist. This banana bread loaf can be served with your favorite ice cream to take it to the next level as an ice cream sandwich or just enjoy it with your coffee/tea.


1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour

1/2 cup of melted butter, plus more for the pan

1/2 cup of brown sugar

1/2 tsp of baking powder

1/4 tsp of salt

3 ripe bananas

2 large eggs at room temperature

1/4 cup chopped walnuts

1/4 cup of tutti frutti

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. for wet ingredients, in a medium-size bowl, mash 3 ripe bananas. Whisk bananas, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs.
  3. For a dry ingredients, in a separate bowl, sift all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. 
  4. Add wet ingredients and combine them together. Do not overmix. Add roasted walnut, tutti frutti and mix again.
  5. Butter the baking pan on all sides, pour the mixture  and make a flat surface. 
  6. Add walnut and tutti fruit on top (optional)
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes until toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center of the bread to all the way to the base. Let it cool down for 15 minutes.
  8. Enjoy with your favorite ice-cream.
