Ingredients:
For Marinating:
1/2 inch ginger
2 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp cumin powder
2 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp chili powder
Salt to taste
For Stir Fry Chicken:
1 lb ground chicken (marinated)
2 tbsp cooking oil
For Batter:
2 cups rice flour
2.5 cups water
For Chatamari:
Oil to spread
Cooked ground chicken
1 egg for each chatamari
Finely chopped onion
Finely chopped tomatoes
Finely chopped cilantro
For Garnishing:
Hot sauce
Green chili sauce
- Marinate chicken with all the listed ingredients.
- Stir-fry marinated chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes covered on medium heat stirring occasionally.
- Turn off the heat and transfer chicken to a bowl.
- On a separate bowl, prepare batter with the listed ingredients. Batter should not be too thick/thin.
- Finally, on a cast iron pan, spread some oil with half of raw potato on a stick (tradional way of making chatamari), once the pan is hot.
- Pour a cup of batter and spread with the spatula.
- Add cooked chicken, crack one egg (spread), onion, tomato, cilantro.
- Cook for 4-5 minutes covered on medium heat. (NO NEED TO FLIP)
- Transfer to a plate, garnish with red and green hot sauce. With pizza cutter, cut into four pieces.
- Server hot and enjoy!
