This easy recipe teaches you how to make mushroom puff pastry at your home. These mushroom pastry puffs are very well can be enjoyed as an appetizer. This recipe is my own personal version of savory puff pastry with mushroom and cream cheese which is perfect for snacking or with a glass of wine. Yum!
Ingredients:
Chopped mushroom – 6 oz
Chopped onion – 2/3 cup
2 Garlic cloves, minced
1/2 Lime (small)
Chopped cilantro – 1/4 cup
Salt to taste
Black pepper – 1/4 tsp 1
Egg 1
Puff Pastry sheet
Cream cheese – 2 oz
Instructions:
- Pre-heat oven to 400°F.
- Thaw pastry sheet for 20-30 minutes in room temperature.
- Heat oil on a medium pan over medium flame. Add chopped mushroom.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes. Add chopped onion, garlic paste, salt, pepper. Stir-fry for couple of minutes.
- Add cilantro and transfer to a bowl. Let it cool for 8-10 minutes.
- Add cream cheese and lemon juice. Mix it well and set it aside.
- On a rolling sheet, dust with all purpose flour and roll the pastry sheet to make it even in all sides.
- Add mushroom filing in the pastry sheet and roll the sheet. Cut into bite size pieces.
- Brush with egg and sprinkle black sesame seeds on top.
- Bake for 15 minutes. Transfer to serving plate and enjoy.
