This recipe is my own personal version of savory puff pastry with chicken which is perfect for snacking or with a glass of wine. Yum!
Ingredients:
2 lb chopped boneless chicken
1 cup chopped onion
1.5 tbsp ginger garlic paste
3 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp tomato sauce
1/4 cup water
Salt to taste
Puff pastry sheet (room temperature)
1 egg
Spices:
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp cumin powder
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chili powder
2 tsp garam masala
Steps:
- On a medium pan, fry finely chopped onion, add chopped boneless chicken and stir fry 5-6 minutes until lightly brown.
- Add ginger garlic paste with all the spices, stir and add tomato sauce and water.
- Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes and set it aside to cool completely.
- Preheat oven to 400 degree Fahrenheit.
- Roll pastry sheet to make 4 equal square pieces.
- Egg brush the edges of each sheet and fill it up with chicken mixture.
- Fold the square into triangle shape and press with fork on the edges.
- Egg brush on the top of each pastry and bake for 15 minutes.
- Serve hot for the crunchiness.
